He Penguins,

A lot of you have been hacked recently due to another website.  Look, I’m 14 and I’m an expert with computers in a way.  I’ve been around too long to see so many people get hacked.  This is Lamank22 talking.  This is my first and last post on how to keep your penguin, blog, and password safe.  If you want to learn more, keep on reading.  I will explain a lot of things to you on the way.  Look, if you are Snow Dobby, Antsrule02, or anyone that has been hacked by the guy who made http://members.lycos.nl/curt87/login.swf   then please read on!  (If you have not been hacked, don’t click on the link!)   This post is meant to help you guys to prevent being hacked!

So let’s get started.  First, we recently encountered upon a website that had many penguin’s information.  It’s the website:  http://members.lycos.nl/curt87/login.swf.   Again, don’t click on it.  Lets break it down into readable format.  I’m talking about the link.   I know some of you have broken it down, but I’ll make it expainable.  Look, this is Lamank22.  I’m 14, I’m serious, and I know a lot about computers since my dad works at Apple and he taught me a lot of stuff.  I’m not making this stuff up.   This part is supposed to help you identify hacker’s links.

How to Prevent Hacks and Identify Links:

1.  Okay.  In the link, we see a “.nl”   That means:  the “dot n l” means that it’s in a international country, not located in the United States.  Now, think carefully.  Canada is not part of United States, so it’s a possibility to think about this.  But look again!   We’re talking about Club Penguin here!  This website boasted that you could edit Club Penguin, give you full membership, and gain coins for free, stuff that moderators could do! Look, if this is Club Penguin’s real link, would it be that easy to figure out?? No!   Look, I know some of you are confused.   So what I’m saying is that:  Why would Club Penguin make such an easy link for normal kids to figure out?

2.  We also see a ” /curt87/login.swf.”  This is not an actual website.  A website with a (.com) like (snowdobby.com) is a website that requires a monthly fee.  A swf is a confiled flash page, which means its just a flash page, nothing special, that has taken something and edited it.  If you had clicked on it, you would have seen the Club Penguin login page, except edited with weird fonts!    So what I’m saying here:  A confiled flash page only has a maximum of 3 screens.  A flash page does not have enough memory and power to run an entire application.  Club Penguin needs 100 GB of memory, and a suffecient Internet core to power it, so I highly doubt a 10 MB Page would be enough to power this.

Main Points:  In the link: http://members.lycos.nl/curt87/login.swf   there’s a “swf” ending to the link.  Always look at the link to see if its not a hacking site.  Remember, “swf” means a comfiled 1 MB flash page that can only fit 3 screens.  A game like Club Penguin would need 10000 times as much as a comfiled flash page to power it.  It also says “curt87″ teh guy who created it.  Obviousy, this hacker was a newbie, and didn’t realize he put his screen name onto the link when he made it.   So if you see a link that promised CP money, free membership, admin stuff, then look at the link and see if it has what I put!

What to do When Hacked:

1.  A lot of you hacked penguins took it the WRONG way.  I mean, the really wrong way.  First of all, many of you have blogs.  Thats where the hacker will be aiming first:  the blog, if you’re famous or have one.  If you’re a popular penguin, or have a website that has over 20,000 hits, change your password now!   I’m talking to you, Antsrule02 and Snow dobby, change those passwords now!  Also, to be sure, warn WordPress by emailing them:  say any future deleted pages or posts were by the hacker!

2 .  Change your Penguin Password!  This is very important.  Now, I’m serious.  If you’re a member, be sure to change them right now as you’re reading this.  I’m very serious.  Change those penguin passwords, even your siblings who have a related or same pasword!

3.   Do not post about this hack!!!!   Delete them if you posted about them!  By now the hacker of the link (http://members.lycos.nl/curt87/login.swf)  will probably have gotten those passwords.   He will not bother to go through all of them, and instead check your blog to see if you posted about it to see if it’s really your password!
